Summit E.T. Bracket Series at the New Heartland Park Topeka
The most popular form of drag racing at the New Heartland Park Topeka is a handicapped form of competition known as Summit E.T. Bracket Racing. In this form of racing, two vehicles of varying performance potentials can race on a potentially even basis. The anticipated elapsed times for each vehicle are compared, with the slower car receiving a head start equal to the difference of the two. With this system, virtually any two vehicles can be paired in a competitive drag race.
Each year, local and regional racers will compete in a series of races through out the summer on HPT quarter-mile drag strip. The HPT bracket series features Super Pro, Pro E.T., Sportsman, Pro Bike and Street classes. The E.T. series racers contend for points and cash awards in each race and will vie for King of the Track honors at the end of the season.
Gates open at 10 AM with Time Trials starting at 11 AM. Please see each event listing for more details.
